Garwood dies at hospital Elmer A. Garwood, 67, of Wren, O., a retired farmer, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Adams county memorial hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill for 30 years and bedfast for the past 12 years. Born in Adams county Feb. 6, 1902, he was a son of Joseph and Louisa Yager-Garwood, and was married to Irene Louth Nov. 19, 1925. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Doyle (Lois) Krick of Decatur; one son, Charles R. Garwood of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Rosa) Brodbeck of Willshire, O., route 1, and Mrs. Mary Stahl of Findlay, O.; two brothers, Oscar Garwood of Willshire route 1, and Harvey Garwood of Van Wert, O.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Zwick funeral home, with Rev. Delbert Corbin officiating. Burial will be in the Willshire cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and after 3 p.m. Friday until time of the services. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
