Johnson Liby, 62, formerly of 1009 W. Washington St., died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday in Adams County Memorial Hospital, where she had been hospitalized eight days. She had resided at Decatur Community Care Center since January of 1981. She was a member of Decatur Missionary Church and On Our Own Club of Bluffton. Born in Decatur on July 24, 1923, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Rose Hoffman-Summers, and was first married Feb. 16, 1946, to Merrill E. Johnson; he died June 17, 1980. She later married Fred J. Liby on Jan. 23, 1982 at the Care Center; he survives. Also surviving are three children, Daniel J. Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz.; Steven Johnson, route 6, Decatur; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Amstutz, Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Lunn, Highland, Calif.; Mrs. Oral (Martha) Morris, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Allen (Evelyn) Felt, route 1, Decatur; two brothers, Edward Summers, Decatur, and Thomas Summers, Fort Wayne; and nine grandchildren. Two brothers, Walter and James, are deceased. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Decatur Missionary Church, Rev. Floyd E. Vieth, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Ray Cemetery, Blue Creek Township. Friends may call at Zwick-Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home from 205 and 7-9 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
