She was born in DeKalb county June 3, 1862, the daughter of Harlow and Mary Antrup-Lockwood, and had lived in Adams county for the past 12 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Mills Methodist church. Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Sovine, with whom she made her home; Mrs. A. E. Gunn of Spencerville, Mrs. Elmer Roop of Auburn, Mrs. John Miller of Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Leonard Leroux of Muskegon, Mich., and Mrs. Jesse Haskins of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sons, Alvin Penland of Sand Lake, Mich., and Carl of Iona, Mich.; one step-son, Alpha Penland of Pleasant Lake; 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Three sons, three brothers and one sister are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist church in Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Seth Painter officiating. Burial will be at Spencerville. The body will be removed from the Black funeral home to the residence Friday morning, and friends may call after 1 p.m. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
