Do you have access to the 1900 census, perhaps through your local library? I looked for Pearl on that census, and found a "Pearl Johnson", born Feb 1888, daughter of Lewis and Effie(?) Johnson, living in Union, Adams Co., IN. There are several sibling listed along with her.
