Myers Dies Unexpectedly Richard C. Myers, 65, of 257 Park Place, well known Decatur man, was prenounced dead on arrival at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. Myers was struck at the Baer Field Inn, where he had taken his sister to take a plane flight back to her home in North Carolina. Born in Hartford City August 25, 1905, he was a son of Richard C. and Mayme T. Long Myers and was married to Emma V. Uhrick January 6, 1934. He had retired from the General Electric Co., in 1968 after many years of service. Mr. Myers was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 571, F & AM, of which he was a past master, the American Legion and the G. E. Quarter Century Club. Surviving are his wife and one sister. Mrs. John (Josephine) Rowland of Kinston, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Leininger officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
