Richards Is Taken By Death Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon Lester E. Richards, 60, of 854 Dierkes street, retired railroad employe, died at 3:20 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Adams county memorial hospital. He had been ill since February and critical since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday. He was born in Paulding county, O., June 13, 1896, a son of John Franklin and Mathilda Bradgam-Richards, and was married to Viola M. Springer Nov. 19, 1914. Mr. Richards was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad as a section foreman for 29 years until his retirement 10 years ago. Surviving in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mrs. John Alexander of Marshall, Mich., and Mrs. Rex Reisen of Geneva; two sons, Kenneth and Jack Richards, both of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Louie Drake of near Decatur; four brothers, John of Union City, Mich., Harvey of Caledonia, Mich., Clyde of Lowell, Mich., and Delma of Cummins, Mich.; two half-brothers, Sanford Richards of Fort Wayne and Rawleigh Richards of Decatur; and 12 grandchildren. One sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zwick funeral home, the Rev. James R. Meadows officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening until time of the services.
