Uhrick, 73, well-known resident of Decatur and Adams County, died suddenly of a heart attack at 8:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 821 North Second Street. He was a former employee of the Nickel Plate railroad. He was born in Adams County June 16, 1872, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Johnson Uhrick. He was married to Rosa Diehl Johnston (sic) November 1, 1901, and she preceded him in death March 10, 1936. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Shady of Tocsin, Mrs. Harry Staley, Mrs Richard C. Myers and Mrs. Ray Klusman, all of Decatur; three sons, Luzern, Ernest and Paul Uhrick, all of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Charles Cook of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, John and Daniel Uhrick, both of Fort Wayne, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending word from the son-in-law, Richard C. Myers who is in army service. Funeral services will be held at the Zwick Funeral Home with burial in the Ray Cemetery, west of Monroe. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock Tuesday evening.
