"Bill" Miller, 86, a longtime Decatur resident died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday at home after having been in failing health for a year. He was born on July 9, 1916 in Union Township to Curtis and Phoebe Hart Miller and married Marseal E. Krick on October 4, 1941; she survives. He retired in 1972 from Decatur Salvage and also worked at State Line Auto Parts. He was an auto mechanic at the former Bill Zoss dealership and at Howard Evans Pontiac, both in Decatur, and also was an active farmer for many years. He was a member of United Brethren in Christ Church. He also was a member of Mosse Lodge 1311, both in Decatur. Other survivors are a son, Doyt Allen Miller of Decatur; a daughter, Carol A. Miller of Decatur; three sisters, Marcella Bryan of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Gerald (Winona) Light of Decatur; and Delores Burley of Convoy, Ohio; and a brother, Wendell Miller of Colleyville, Texas. A brother is deceased. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Sunday with a Moose memorial service there at 6 p.m. Preferred memorial are to the church or to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, in Berne.
