Hilton, 81, of Convoy, O., brother of Mrs. Ada Roeder of Decatur, died suddenly at 10 a.m. Friday at the home of a son, William G. Hilton, in Convoy. He had not been ill and death was unexpected. He was born in Convoy Nov. 16, 1890, a son of John W. and Alice Melchi-Hilton, and was married to Harriet Hoelle Dec. 16, 1912. His wife preceded him in death Oct. 21, 1966. Mr. Hilton, a retired barber and insurance agent, was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church at Convoy, and the Convoy Lions Club. Surviving are the son and sister and three grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased. Funeral rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the trinity Lutheran church at Convoy, with Rev. Dean C. Cheek officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery at Convoy. Friends may call at the Stainfeild funeral home in Convoy after 2 p.m. today. Preferred memorials are to the church memorial fund.
