Baker Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home for Lloyd V. "Admiral" Baker, 82, 521 S. 13th St., who died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday at the Van Crest Nursing Home, Van Wert, O. He retired from the Decatur works of the General Electric Co Dec. 1, 1964, after 42 years and 11 months of service as a planning supervisor. A veteran of World War I, "Admiral," as he was known to his friends, was a charter member and a past commander of American Legion Post 43, a past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 993, and also a member of the V.F.W. Born in Adams County on Nov. 10, 1899, he was the son of Thomas and Emma Myers-Baker. Survivors include three nephews, Bill Hunter, Kendallville; Jack Hunter, Bluffton; Jim Hunter, Decatur; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Baker, Decatur. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Rev. William K. Rapp will officiate at the services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
