Peterson, 46, Willshire, Ohio, died at 10:10 a.m. today at home after an illness of three months. He was born in Decatur on January 19, 1943 to Cal F. and Edna Neukom Peterson. The father is deceased; the mother lives at 603 Penn St. He married Donna J. Marbach on July 26, 1970. She survives. Mr. Peterson was a production worker at the B.F. Goodrich tire plant in Woodburn the past 20 years and was a member of the Decatur Church of God and United Rubber Workers Local 715. Other survivors are one daughter, Carrie J. Peterson, at home, and four brothers, Cal M. Peterson, Fort Wayne; Charles M. Peterson, Hoagland; K. Richard Peterson, route 6, Decatur; and Donald Robert Peterson, 925 Russell St. One brother is deceased. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday in Decatur Church of God, Rev. Kenneth Mishler officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours at Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home are 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Preferred memorials are to the church or the Cancer Society. [There is not a different date on the following, but it is obviously a correction published after 9/6/1989] Pallbearers will be Clayton Howell, Bob Brown, Dick Lambert, Dennis Magner, Terry Cunningham, and Ron Hakes. Visiting hours at Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home are 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. There were also two errors in Wednesday's obituary notice. The newspaper misspelled the maiden name of Mrs. Peterson; she was Donna J. Marbaugh, not Marbach. Due to a misunderstanding, the funeral home mistakenly reported that one brother was deceased; in fact, no brother is deceased.
