M. ELZEY IS DEAD IN LIMA Aged Resident of This City Dead at Daughter's Home in Ohio Franklin Marion Elzey, age 82 years, a lifelong resident of this community died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roger French, in Lima, Ohio, yesterday morning. The body will be returned to this city and will lie in state at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chales Lamlin, 1022 Vine street, until the funeral services at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The funeral services will be held from the Methodist church, the Rev. U. S. A. Bridge officiating. Mr. Elzey was born in Decatur, August 1, 1840. He has spent his entire life in this community. About five weeks ago he went to Lima to visit his daughter and became ill while there. He is survived by one brother, Elijah Elzey, of Ossian, and seven children. The children are: Mrs. Charles Lamlin, of Decatur; Mrs. John Hocker, Mrs. Mary Uhrick, of Monroe; J. W. Elzey, Frank Elzey of Ohio City; James Elzey, of Monmouth; and Mrs. Roger French, of Lima, Ohio. There are also several grandchildren surviving.
