Krick, 85, Swiss Village, Berne, a longtime resident of Decatur and Railway Express agent who retired after 38 years of service, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday in Adams County Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized one week. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Decatur Masonic Lodge 571 F&AM, where he was worshipful master in 1937, Scottish Rite Valley, Fort Wayne, York Rite, Mizpah Temple, and Adams County Shrine Club. A member of a prominent Decatur family, he was born on Feb. 18, 1902, the son of Frank J. and Eva Elzey-Krick, and was married March 31, 1923, to Laura Reusser; she died Sept. 27, 1984. Survivors include two sons, John H. Krick, Youngstown, O., and Philip A. Krick, Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Joan Von Gunten, Indianapolis; one sister, Pauline Hyde, Katy, Tex.; one brother, Jim Krick, Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mary Wearly, preceded him in death in 1981. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Rev. Bill Moon officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday. Masonic services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are to First United Methodist Church, Swiss Village or Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital.
