Garwood, 86, Willshire, O., died at 1 a.m. today at her home. She was a member of the Union United Methodist Chruch, route 7, Decatur. Born on July 23, 1899, in Adams County, she was the daughter of Augusta D. and Nettie E. Sipe-Douglas, and was married Feb. 20, 1935, to Oscar F. Garwood; he survives. Also surviving are one stepson, Donald E. Garwood, route 7, Decatur; 15 step-grandchildren (sic); 30 step-grandchildren; one brother, Thurman Douglas, Berne; three sisters, Mrs. Chloe Bollenbacher, route 2, Geneva; Mrs. Chester (Beulah) Brodbeck, Monroe; Mrs. Wilbur (Martha) Tinkham, Decatur. Three brothers, one sister and one stepson are deceased. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, Rev. David Chivington officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery, Willshire. Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, O., from 2-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services at the church Friday. Memorials are to the church.
