Johnson, 82, retired farmer residing at Monroe, died at 12:15 o'clock this morning at the Parkview memorial hospital in Fort Wayne. He had been ill for the past five years. He was born in Adams county Dec. 18, 1877, a son of Samuel and Susanna Everhart-Johnson, and was married March 19, 1899. His wife preceded him in death June 30, 1955. Mr. Johnson was a resident of Monroe township most of his life. Surviving are two sons, Floyd F. Johnson of Fort Wayne, and Rolla E. Johnson of Riverside, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Wilfred (Mildred) Ray of South Whitley; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Zwick funeral home, the Rev. Vernon Riley officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery.
