Schumm, 66, of near Rockford, Ohio, died at 12:10 a.m. Monday in St Rita's Hospital, Lima, Ohio. He had been in ill health since December 5 with cancer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Schumm, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion in Rockford. His wife, the former Leahline Case, died in 1981. Survivors include two sons, Jim, of near Rockford, and John, at home; a daughter, Kay Schumm, at home; one sister, Hildred Schumm, route 1, Willshire; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Zion Lutheran Church, Schumm. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services at the church Thursday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are to the Wren EMS and the Visiting Nurses Association of Van Wert. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
