White, 71, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at his home in Blue Creek Township, two miles west and one and one-half miles south of Willshire. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Mercer County, Ohio, November 1, 1898, he was a son of William E. and Martha Davis White, and was married to Glendola Case, March 19, 1925. Mr. White was a retired farmer and former employee of the Central Soya Co. Surviving are his wife; one son, William, Jr. White of Decatur, route 6; one daughter, Mrs. Merdith (Dorothy) Putman of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Duke of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Martha Dott Morrison of Pleasant Mills; and eleven grandchildren. Four brothers and three sisters are deceased. Funeral rites will be held at 130 p.m. Tuesday at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in the Tricker Cemetery.
