Laman, 56, 529 N. 10th St., died at 9:15 a.m. today at Adams County Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose, Gecode Club, and GE Retired Ladies. She retired in 1984 from Decatur General Electric Co. after 20 years of service. Born on July 23, 1931, in Adams County, she was the daughter of Roy and Mary Stetler Case. Survivors include her mother, Mary Case, Willshire, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Brenda) Shroyer, of near Markle; a son, Jere Lama, Hoagland; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Imolu) Lenhart, Decatur, and Mrs. Lyle (Fern) Bailey, route 6, Decatur; two brothers, Rev. Max Case, Marysville, Ohio; Bud Case, Decatur; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and one step great-granddaughter. Three brothers died in infancy. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Rev. James S. Hook and Rev. Kathy Johns officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at Zwick-Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday, and one hour prior to services at the church. Women of the Moose will hold memorial services Saturday evening. Memorials are to the Extended Care Unit of the Adams County Memorial Hospital.
