Kenneth McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Willshire, O. Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today. A former resident of Decatur, Ms. Stetler and Paul C. Maxwell, 51, Depew, N.Y., were killed instantly early Wednesday morning when they tried to walk across U.S. 24 East near Hartzell Road and crossed the path of an oncoming truck near New Haven. Both suffered massive head and chest injuries when they were struck by the semi driven by Tom H. Schielke, 38, Fort Wayne. It was speculated that they were trying to get to Ms. Stetler's trailer in a mobile home park on the other side of the road. No arrests have been made, but the investigation is being continued by the Allen County Sheriff's Department and the Indiana State Police. Ms. Stetler, a member of the Willshire United Brethren Church, was born in Decatur on Sept. 23, 1956, the daughter of Charles (Chub) Stetler and the former Sharon Fisher.
