He was born in French Township April 20, 1911, a son of Daniel and Mary Moser Kipfer. He was employed by the Lehman Construction Co. of Fort Wayne for the past 10 years, and previously was employed by the Bultemeier Construction Co. of this city. Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Cook; one daughter, Miss Melissa Kipfer, at home; two brothers, Edward and Reuben Kipfer, both of Bluffton; and four sisters, Miss Elma Kipfer, Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) Mayer, and Mrs. Obed (Lucinda) Steffen, all of Bluffton, and Mrs. Wilmer (Ida) Steffen of Decatur route 5.
