Sapp, 6, of 716 High Street, well known retired farmer, died at 12 noon Saturday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for six years and critically ill for one week. Born in Adams County August 4, 1897, he was a son of Owen U. and Selina D. Showwalter Sapp, and was a lifelong resident of the county. He was married to Laura Brown January 4, 1947. Mr. Sapp was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Edgar Sapp of Crown Point, Barnett Sapp of New Babylon, N.Y., and Harold Sapp of Decatur; one step-son, Ray O. Brown of Pascagoula, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Hazel) Brummer of Decatur route 3; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Winteregg-Linn Funeral Home with Rev. Sylvester Martin officiating, assisted by Rev. John Goodwin.
