A son of Daniel and Mary Moser Kipfer, he was born April 1, 1901 in Adams County. His marriage to Mildred Dilley, who died Feb. 2, 1981, took place March 2, 1930 in Wells County. He had resided in Wells County most of his life and was a retired employee of Franklin Electric Co., where he had worked more than 20 years. He attended the Apostolic Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Donald of Bremerton, WA and James of Bluffton; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Barbara) Kumfer, Fort Wayne and Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Stauffer, Bluffton; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Wilmer (Ida) Steffen, Rt. 4, Bluffton; Mrs. Elma Kipfer, Mrs. Lucinda Steffen and Mrs. Joe (Josephine) Meyer, all of Bluffton. The body will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Wednesday for services at 10 a.m. The Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton, where friends may call today, is handling the arrangements.
