Apr 28, 1979 David C. Kelsey, 23, of route 1, Monroe, a former employee of the Pearl's Pantry in Decatur, died at 4:50 a.m. today at the St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend. He had been ill the past year. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Born in Decatur on March 2, 1956, he was the son of Herman and Jackqueline Gase-Kelsey. Survivors include the parents of route 1, Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Darla) Kraner of route 4, Decatur; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Kelsey of route 1, Monroe; the paternal step-greatgrandfather, Floyd Strickler of Willshire, O.; and the maternal grandfather, Anthony Gase, Wren, O.; One sister is deceased. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating.
