Marshall, 49, 2340 Sunnymede Drive, Fort Wayne, a resident of Decatur most of his life, died at 4:15 o'clock Thursday morning at the Irene Byron sanatorium where he had been a patient three months. He had been ill for the last eight months. He was born in Tipton county Oct. 5, 1901, a son of Orland and Mary Brown-Marshall. While a resident of Decatur he was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving are is wife, Mary C., his mother, who lives in Decatur, a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Strahm of Flanagan, Ill; one son, Sgt. Clifford Marshall, with the army air force in England; three stepchildren, Rosetta D. Floualer (sp?) of Niceville, Fla., Martin W. Teeple of New Orleans, La., and Mrs. K E. Heimke (or Helmke) of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; one brother, Otto of Jackson, Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Ray of Columbia City and Mrs. Pauline Beery of Decatur. The body was removed to the Black funeral home where friends may call after ???. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized until word is received from the son in England.
