Bohnke, 79, of 121 South 11th St., wife of former Adams County Councilman Frank E. Bohnke, died unexpectedly at 1:25 a.m. today at the Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, Home Demonstration Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Born in Adams County on July 11, 1899, she was the daughter of Clement V. and Irilla Russell Snell, and was united in marriage on April 18, 1918 to Frank E. Bohnke. The couple was married for 60 years. Also surviving are two sons, Donald D. Bohnke, route 1, Decatur; and Dr. Harold W. Bohnke, Decatur, a local dentist; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Sorlier and Mrs. Elmer (Lillie) Bieneke, both of Fort Wayne; and four grandchildren. One son, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Winteregg-Linn and Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard W. Beer officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday. Preferred memorials are to the Zion United Church of Christ.
