Lenhart Dies This Morning Well Known Decatur Lady Dies Suddenly Mrs. Martha E. Lenhart, 73, well known Decatur lady, and widow of the late E. Burt Lenhart, died suddenly this morning at her home, 804 West Monroe street. The body of Mrs. Lenhart, who lived alone, was found at 8 o'clock this morning in the garage at her home by a son, Orval. He had called her home, and getting no response, went to investigate. Death was caused by a heart attack. She had been in ill health for some time, but her death was unexpected. She was born in Adams county November 19, 1873, a daughter of Recklief B. and Louisa Baker-Johnson, and was a lifelong resident of Adams county. She was married October 1, 1892, to E. Burt Lenhart, Decatur attorney and abstractor, who died January 5, 1938. Mrs. Lenhart was a member of the First Methodist church, the Pythian Sisters and the Needle club of the latter organization. She is survived by one son, Orval M. Lenhart of Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Baltzell of near Decatur and Mrs. Velma Bowman of Rockford, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Ball of Peterson; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the home, 804 West Monroe street, with Dr. M. O. Lester officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. The body will be removed from the Zwick funeral home to the residence, where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Friday. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
