Holloway Is Taken By Death Murray C. Holloway, 61, well-known Pleasant Mills resident, died at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Adams county memorial hospital, where he had been admitted 12 hours earlier. He had been in failing heath for several years. Born in Randolph county Dec. 17, 1900, he was a son of George and Eva Wright-Holloway, and was married to Zula D. Steele Dec. 23, 1922. Mr. Holloway was a carpenter at the Decatur General Electric plant for 10 years before he was forced to retire because of illness Jan. 12, 1951. He served as an electrician in the submarine branch of the U.S. Navy for 22 months during World War I. Mr. Holloway was a member of the Pleasant Mills Methodist church and the Masonic lodge in Decatur. Surviving in addition to his wife are four brothers, Clayton Holloway of Monroe, Warren and Glen Holloway of Winchester, and Gordon Holloway of Bluffton; and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Faye) Baumgartner of Bluffton, and Mrs. George (Murel) Feidler of Morrol, O. One son, Robert L. Holloway, was killed in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II in 1944. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Zwick funeral home, the Rev. Leon Lacoax officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today until time of the services. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.
