Beery, 85, Swiss Village, Berne, died unexpectedly at 11:20 a.m. Monday at Caylor-Nickel Hospital, Bluffton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, U. M. W. of the church, and Eastern Star. Born in Monroe on January 9, 1901, she was the daughter of Lewis and Hattie Andrews-Mills, and was married in 1917 to Albert Beery; he died September 21, 1970. Survivors include two children, Lewis E. Beery, route 4, Decatur, and Mrs. Vern (Mary Jane) Hornbacher, route 7, Angola; one sister, Mrs. Mary Oliver, LaPorte; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home, Rev. Bill Moon officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
