James Uhrick Is Taken By Death Rev. James H. Uhrick, 83, of 1232 1/2 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, a native of Monroe, died at 9:3 a.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Kohn of Elwood route 3. He had lived in Fort Wayne since 1917, and was one of the founders of First Wesleyan Methodist Church, now the Spring Street Wesleyan Church. He served as its first pastor from 1929 to 1937. He was later employed at General Electric Co., retiring 18 years ago af ter 23 years of service. Surviving in addition to the daughter are three grandchildren, and a niece, Mrs. Jossephine Baumgartner of Decatur. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Spring Street Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Lauren Crowe and Reb. Paul McKinley officiating. Burial will be in the Ray Cemetery, west of Monroe. Friends may call at the C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home after 7 p.m today and at the church after 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
