The cause of the death was said to be gall trouble; Mr. Detterer was brought to the local hospital yesterday afternoon for medical treatment, but death came in a few hours. Mr. Detterer lived most of his life in and near Willshire. He was born in Ohio, in 1853. He was active as a carpenter in Willshire until a few months ago and his condition was regarded as serious. He is survived by his wife and one son, Fred, of Willshire. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but it is probably that the services will be held Saturday, at Willshire.
