She had been in failing health for 14 years and bedfast the past three years. She was born near Berne April 13, 1866, the daughter of Johnathan and Catherine Baumgartner. She attended the Zion Reformed church in this city. Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Dora Francis Miller of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Hahn of Muncie, Miss Rosa Maumgartner (sic) of Geneva and Mrs. Kate Butler of Payne, Ohio; and one brother, William Baumgartner of Michigan. One, son, Eli Gerod, is deceased. Funeral services will be held at the Gillig and Doan funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. C. M. Prugh officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon until time for the funeral services.
