Hamrick, 62, route 1, Willshire, Ohio, a Willshire Township farmer, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at his home following an apparent heart attack. He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church. Born on May 13, 1921 in Willshire Township Van Wert County, he was the son of John Wesley and Orpha Sarah Lorenz Hamrick, and was married to Maxine Bonner on December 24, 1941; she survives. Also surviving are five children, Mrs. Vernon (Shirley) Fuhrman, route 2, Ossian; Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Weck, route 2, Ohio City, Ohio; Mrs. William (Janet) Hunter, Jr., route 5, Van Wert, Ohio; Mrs. Steven (Crystal) Sheets, route 3, Rockford; Marvin Hamrick, route 1, Willshire; one sister, Mrs. Elmer (Marcille) Hoverman, Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Lawrence Hamrick, route 1, Willshire; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene; a daughter, Sarah, and one sister. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zwick, Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home, with Res. David Chivington and E. Robert Heckman officiating Burial will be in the Willshire Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and all day Wednesday, and until the services on Thursday.
