That is cute but it would be funnier if it weren't true. I have a cousin who did just that - invented an ancestry for herself and published it in a widely sold book. And of course "everyone" believes it because it has been formally published. Never mind that there are no references given. Not only that but, the way she wrote it for publication, she has included my ancestor in with it all so now I can find my name in two places on Family Tree Maker's published World Family Tree CDs (#7 & #9) because someone fell for the phony genealogy and somehow tracked down my family and included us in their published "family history".
