    3. Hi All, I seem to have hit a small brick fence (I hesitate to call it a WALL, yet) on my husband's gr-gr-grandfather, Joseph Hudson. The earliest we can locate the family in Adams County is in the 1870 census. Previous to that, they were in Ohio. Ohio is where all their children were born, so they were there for at least 10 years. That is where it gets sticky....we can't find them in the 1860 Ohio census. Joseph was born in Va., his wife, Barbara, was born in Ohio. This we got from the 1870 Adams Co. census. We haven't been able to find where they were married, so we aren't sure if this was a first marriage or not. In the 1880 Adams Co. census, Joseph is not found, but Barbara is listed with their son, Thomas. We don't find a record of Joseph's death. Where did he go? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find out where Joseph went between 1870 & 1880, or how to find out where in Ohio they were located? Thanks for taking time to read this rather long & disjointed note. I'd appreciate any hints or helps. -- Judy Hudson GENEALOGY: The 'Real Theory Of Relativity'.
