Her paternal grandparents were Frank and Anna(Barth) Roop m. Feb 19 1882. Harley had a brother Charley John Roop. Other children of Harley and Goldie were Harley Jr (m. Norma R. Smith 1940), Pauline, and Lawrence. Frank Roop came to Decatur IN from Dixon OH. Harley's wife Goldie died early and he remarried Nettie Smith and had 3 children: Sarah, Lawrence and Orville.
