Haven't gotten a lot of info this way. I have written from my grandfather and grandmothers death certificates in Adams Co, IN. Jesse Hugh Steele died 4-24-1948 and Niffie Blance Steele dd 4-24-1948. In both cases, they ( the heath dept) could not find the death certificates and returned my checks. Both are buried in Decatur Cem. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get actual death date proof. The tombstonse only give the years.
