I have a John Smith married to Emily MAJOR 1883 in Adams CO., IN. Emily was born 1863 to James W. & Mary SACKETT MAJOR. John was the s/o R.E. Smith & Elizabeth QUINN. I also have a William QUINN (brother to Elizabeth?) & Sarah Ann SMITH as parents of Alexander SMITH b. 1845 & married first to Permelia MAJOR in 1871 then when she died he married her sister Amanda Ellen MAJOR. both women were daughters of James W. & Mary Sackett Major.
