Thought those of us researching the TEETER/DEETER lines would want this info. I know all my Teeter families were very prolific so I'm sure you'll find a relative or 2 on here!! Deeter <DDeeter969@aol.com>; Don Deeder <ddeeder@aol.com>; Tricia Brosemann <TriciaB@DialMfg.com> Subject: Our new RootsWeb mailing list: Date: Friday, November 28, 1997 12:57 PM OK, good news: our mailing list is ready to roll. Briefly (very), people can subscribe to the list in mail mode by sending a message to DEETER-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains the word subscribe and nothing else. If you send a signature be sure and turn it off before sending the request. If they prefer digest mode, they should send the command instead to DEETER-D-request@rootsweb.com. To unsubscribe, they should send the command "unsubscribe" to DEETER-L-request@rootsweb.com (if in mail mode) or DEETER-D-request@rootsweb.com (if in digest mode.) To switch from one mode to the other, they should unsubscribe from one and then subscribe to the other. There is no "no mail" mode -- if they want messages to stop, they should simply unsubscribe. (Suggestion: use these commands to subscribe to DEETER-L, as no one at all is currently subscribed, and then send a test message through. Take your list for a test drive, in other words.) To post to both DEETER-L and DEETER-D, messages should be sent to DEETER-L@rootsweb.com. Messages sent there will appear both places. Any questions should be sent to me at: DDeeter@worldnet.att.net. Please forward this message to all of the people you know of who are searching our various line. Thanks for your support. David.
