I am looking for information on the GERKE family in Adams county (and Allen Co.) as well as the MEYER and MEYERS families. My father's mother was descended from Johan Diederich Gerke, who seems to be the first Stemshorn, Hannover, Germany. Several of his brothers, and maybe cousins, came shortly thereafter. Herman Gerke married Mary Agnes MEYER who was from the same region in Hannover. Louis Gerke married Clara Marie MEYERS, also from Hannover. I would be delighted to correspond with anyone who is interested in Gerke, Meyer, or Meyers families or any of those families related to Gerkes. Jeanette E.
