Kittie Clark Peterson "Kit", born August 26, 1876 in Decatur, Adams Co., IN; married September 5, 1894 to Carl Orian France, who was born in Decatur, Adams Co., IN on December 12, 1875, the son of John T. and Isabelle (Corbin) France. They lived in Gary, Lake County, Indiana for many years; he was a longtime steel mill worker and after his retirement he worked for the city of Gary. He died March 21, 1957 in Gary two days before Dick and Jane Drew Heller were married,, and was buried there and their wedding day. "Aunt Kit" died Nov. 19, 1958, the year that Dick Heller lost eight or ten close relatives, including his father and grandfather. They had two children. >From Dick D.
