Leanne, Well I can't help you but you just helped me! I didn't have a last name for Rachel. Esias Dailey is a relative through his mother, Mary MAJOR. Her brother William MAJOR is my ancestor. Anyway back to Esias Dailey, his 1st wife was Mary Ann Thompson & they had 7 children. Mary Ann is listed on the 1850 census but on the 1860 Rachel is his wife & he has 2 more kids : Mary Ann born 1853 (age 7) & Cassius born 1858 (age 2). Seems it was common to name the first female child after the previous wife. I don't know when Esias died do you? Do you need anything on the MAJOR family? A Henry WEIMER married Susanna MAJOR 1845 in Adams Co. She was the d/o William MAJOR mentioned above. They had 3 children before Susanna died, then he remarried to Sarah AVERY & had at least 3 more children.
