My Joseph Martin Strait was born in Ohio, per 1900 Texas census, but not sure where in Ohio. He married Mary Johnson whose father was Abel Johnson. Abel was born in Harrison County, Ohio. Joseph and Mary eventually moved to Blackford County Indiana before moving to Texas. Joseph served in the 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.
