Does anyone know about land grants which were bought in Adams Co, IN? I found on http:www.glorecords.blm.blm/ a land grant for a David HIlty issued on August 20, 1838. The legal discription is as follows Aliguot Parts NW Sec/Blk 7/ Twhship 25 N Range 14-E Fract Sect No Meridan 2nd PM State IN County Adams. The amount of lant was for 177.6 acres. Does anyone know about this? I am researching the Hilty name. I believe the land was around Berne, IN. , but I am not sure and I do not have this David on my index.
