Mr. Raidy, a life-long resident of Fort Wayne, was retired from Pembleton Electronics, Inc. Anker, 90, well-known Decatur lady, died suddenly of a coronary attack at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday at her home, 214 South First Street. She had not been ill, and death was unexpected. Born in Vermillion County, Ill., April 2, 1879, she was a daughter of William D. and Paulina Miller-Smith, and had resided in Decatur for many years. She was married April 7, 1900 to Albert M. Anker who preceded her in death in 1947. Mrs. Anker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Adams County Historical Society and the Democratic Women's Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Veronica A. Linn of Decatur; a granddaughter, Miss Dianne Linn of Decatur; and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Deege of Danville, Ill. One granddaughter, two sisters, and four brothers are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home with Rev. Robert Vander Hart officiating. Felger, 37, of Van Wert, O., who was killed late Tuesday night in a car-semi truck crash near the intersection of U.S. 30 and state road 101, east of New Haven. Police say Mrs. Felger, who was east bound on 30, lost control at a snow covered curve and skidded broadside into the path of the oncoming semi rig, driven by Jack Nelson , 47, of Bellefontaine, O. Mrs. Felger suffered chest and skull injuries and was dead on arrival at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was an employe of the Bylou Publishing Co. in Fort Wayne. Surviving are her husband Junior J. Felger; two daughters, Cheryl Ann and Kay Lynn, at home; her father, Benjamin R. Baker, 52, prominent Geneva resident and long-time employe of the Central Soya Co. plant in Decatur, died Tuesday morning at the Jay County hospital at Portland, where he had been a patient for three weeks with a heart condition. Mr. Baker had long been active in Democratic party circles, and he and his wife operated the auto license bureau at Geneva. Born in Jefferson Township, July 8, 1913, he was a son of Daniel and Goldie May Morningstar-Baker, and was a lifelong resident of that community. Mr. Baker was a member of the Bethel Brethren church and the Moose lodge at Portland. Surviving are his wife Selma; his mother, Mrs. Goldie Roe of Geneva; four daughters, Mrs. Don (Clara) Hamblen of Decatur, Mrs. David (Helen) Stucky of Geneva, Mrs. Larry (Marilyn) Hanni of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Dewey (Rebecca) Balsey of Cincinnati, O; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Baker of Berne and Cliff Baker of Marion; and one sister, Mrs. Viola Stauffer of Geneva. He retired 10 years agoafter being associated for many years with Iowa State College of Agriculture at Ames, Ia. He lived in Ft. Smith, Ark., upon retirement, before moving to California. Surviving are his wife Edith; three daughters; two brothers, Walter Koos of Decatur, route 3 and Vernon Koos of Enid, Okla.; sister, Mrs. Philip (Florence) Rash of Pennville; and a number of nieces and nephews in this area. Smith, 74, of 334 North First Street, prominent retired Decatur druggist, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. Mr. Smith underwent extensive surgery last summer and had apparently been recovering well until his health began to fail several weeks ago. Mr. Smith and his sister, Virginia F. Smith, had operated the Smith Drug Store on North Second Street for many years until closing the business a few years ago. The store had been a continuous family operation for more than 100 years. He was born in Adams County, Feb. 8, 1896, a son of Benjamin J. and Elizabeth Forbing-Smith, and was a resident of Decatur practically his entire life. He was married to Miss Pauline E. Gerhardstein Aug. 7, 1922. His wife preceded him in death Nov. 1, 1963. Mr. Smith was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Holy Name society, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the Elks and Moose Lodges. He was a veteran of World War I, and was highly active in Adams post 43, American Legion, which he served as its first commander when organized here. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's College, and a member of the Indiana Pharmaceutical association. A talented musician he was widely known in the 1920's as a band leader and vocalist. Surviving are one son, Eugene F. Smith of Fullerton, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Yvonne) Moore of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Miss Virginia F. Smith of Decatur, and Mrs. Carl (Rose) Klepper of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Phyllis Smith of Fort Wayne; and 11 grandchildren. One son Paul A. Smith, who was manager of Buschbaum Pharmacy, Fort Wayne, and one brother, and one sister are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Simeon Schmidt officiating. She was born in New York City March 22, 1916, a daughter of Benjamin and Mary Wildman-Margolies, and was married to Randolph F. Brandyberry Feb. 16, 1935. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1965. Mrs. Brandyberry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Leah) Thomas of Wheaton, Ill., and Mrs. Kenneth (Lisa) Marx of Riverside, Cal.; one son, Greg R. Brandyberry of Wheaton; one sister Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Crawford of Jackson, Mich.; and two grandchildren. One sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home, with Rev. Melvin Seeger officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. AGLER DIES SUNDAY Guy G. Agler, 64, of 762 Parkview Drive, was reported dead on arrival at 6:50 p.m. Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, following a heart attack suffered at home. Mr. Agler was an employe of the Norfolk & Western railroad. Born at Ohio City, O., July 15, 1905, he was a son of Loe (sic) and Laura Caldwell-Agler, and was married to Janice E. Sutton October 8, 1932. Mr. Agler was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. James (Rita) Schindler of Decatur, and Mrs. Willard (Norma) Landis of Decatur route 3; one son DeWayne L. Agler of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Orval (Mae) Ginzel and Mrs. Rex (Delores) Schmidt, both of Convoy, O.; and 11 grandchildren. One sister and two brothers are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of God, with Rev. James E. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Ohio City. YAGER DIES THIS MORNING Prominint Decatur Woman Dies Today Miss Anna M. Yager, a member of a prominent Decatur family, died in her sleep at 10 o'clock this morning at the Yager home, 218 South Second street, following an extended illness. The daughter of the late Leopold and Christine Wall Yager, the deceased was born in Tiffin, Ohio, on September 28, 1863. In 1865, her parents came to this city. Her father was for many years one of the leading furniture dealers and cabinet makers here. Miss Yager made her home with her brothers, two of whom survive. They are, John and Leo Yager, the latter being the president of the Citizens Telephone company. Two brothers, Herman and Louis Yager, preceded her in death.
