Milwaukee (WI) Weekly, March 29, 1882, p. 7. NOTE: Although the name is believed to be Prow, this paper reported it as Praw and another paper as Prom. In 1880, George Prow, age 17, was enumerated in the household of his father, Christian Power age 60 and a merchant, in Campbellsburg, Washington County, Indiana. The surname is correctly believed to be Prow. George Praw (sic), son of a prominent merchant at Campbellsburg, Indiana, was killed by falling under a train that he was attempting to board on the 22nd inst., at Salem, Ind. He was badly mangled, his face being all that was left to lead to identification.
