Columbus (IN) Weekly Times, November 15, 1895, p. 7. DEATH DOINGS JONES-Ben Jones, the well known liveryman and horse buyer, died at his home in Shelbyville last Friday. He had been in poor health for several months. Recently he went to French Lick Springs but came back no better in health. His condition after his return home varied but was such that his death was not unexpected. Ben Jones was a son of Robert Jones, one of the early settlers of Hawcreek Township, and was about 54 years of age at the time of his death. For several years he had been in the livery business at Shelbyville and got his full share of patronage. He was a brother of Mrs. William Brinkley of this city.
