Jeffersonville George Willis, who is under sentence to serve two years in the Prison South, is prostrated as the result of the penalty inflicted. At one time yesterday he was in a serious condition. Monday night in jail he made a vicious attack upon Clarence Berry, Thomas Burton and James Calhoun, all of whom implicated him in their confessions. He secured a heavy iron shovel and was using it with effect when disarmed by the deputy sheriff. Willis had previously assaulted Calhoun's wife who had come to the jail to see her husband.
