TAGGART VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA Died Las Sunday after Three Weeks Illness-Leaves Wife and Three Children Sanford Lee Taggart, an industrious, prosperous and honorable farmer citizen, died at his home eight miles east of Nashville last Sunday. His death resulted from pneumonia after an illness of three weeks. He was born in Nashville, October 30, 1870, and was a lifelong resident of the county. His parents were Thomas J. and Evaline S. Taggart. His age was 56 years, 3 months and 15 days. Mr. Taggart was an influential Democrat. He served one term as county commissioner and a few weeks before his death he had announced himself as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for trustee of Washington Township. July 20, 1902, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Downey and to them three children were born: Mrs. Ruth Evans of Shelbyville and Earl and Orval Tracy at the family home. The wife and three children survive. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters: John and Hannibal of Nashville; William of Wichita, Kansas; Jennie Otto of Detroit and Sarah Graf of Chicago. He was a charter member of Stone Ezel Lodge I. O. O. ., of Nashville, and that order had charge of the burial services. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday at 10:30, Rev. Lee Jackson officiating. Interment was in Green Lawn Cemetery at Nashville.
