Robert Hendricks and Mary Puett held the first license issued in Brown County in 1926 and were made happy by words pronounced by Rev. C. M. Bless of the Methodist Church. The groom is 17 and a son of Daniel Hendricks, and the bride is a daughter of William Puett and is 19. They live in Monroe County. Wade A Stephens of Monroe County and Miss Pearl E. Owens of this county were united in marriage by Rev. Bless at the same place the same day. The groom is 21 and a son of Andrew Stephens. The bride is a daughter of James Owens, the timber dealer at Belmont. She is 19.
