Francis Marion Taylor was born in Taylor County, Ky., May 10, 1837, and died at his pleasant home one mile south of Salem, September 19, after two days' illness with suffering and pain. His age being 62 years, 4 months and 9 days. He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters to mourn his loss. At home he was an affectionate husband, a kind and loving father, always ready to share the pleasures and discontents that came to his home. As a neighbor and friend he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a firm believer in the teachings of the gospel of our Lord.
